It’s the end of an era!
After eight seasons, ABC’s hit family sitcomBlack-ishiscoming to an end.
StarringTracee Ellis Ross,Anthony Anderson,Yara Shahidi,Marsai Martin, Miles Brown, and Marcus Scribner asthe lovable Johnson family, the series has received numerous accolades over the years as it tackles both heartwarming and important storylines.
Not only has the show marked many of the young cast’s breakthrough roles, but it has also featured somestar-studded guest appearances, includingMichelle Obama, Zendaya, Simone Biles, and many more.
It’s no wonder the show has branched off into two separate spinoff series, including Grown-ish (centered on Shahidi’s Zoey and her college years), andMixed-ish(centered on a young Rainbow and her biracial family).
Shahidi is keeping things in the Disney family asshe stars as Tinker Bellin the live-action adaptation ofPeter Pan, whileAnderson recently reprised his characteron theLaw & Orderrevival.

More than a decade after the show’s original cancellation,Anderson reprised hisLaw & Ordercharacter, Detective Kevin Bernard, for the recent revival on Feb. 24. You can currently watch him on the show, which is airing its 21st season on NBC.
Yara Shahidi (Zoey Johnson)

Marsai Martin (Diane Johnson)

Martin has her plate full with a few upcoming projects. She is starring in and is executive producing a scripted podcastremake of YA novelFree to Fallas well as starring and executive producing aParamount+ film titledFantasy Football.
Marcus Scribner (Andre Johnson)

Shortly afterBlack-ishends, Scribner will star in the movie adaptation of Sarah Dessen’s novelAlong for the Ride, whichhits Netflix on May 6. Like Shahidi, he is also set to reprise hisBlack-ishcharacter ashe joins the cast ofGrown-ishin season 5.
Miles Brown (Jack Johnson)

Brown currently doesn’t have any projects in the works, but he has made a few appearances onGrown-ishover the years, so there’s always a chance we’ll see him in the upcoming fifth season.
Laurence Fishburne (Earl “Pops” Johnson)

Fishburne was recently tapped to star on FX’sSterling Affairs, a limited series based on the ESPN 30 for 30 podcast of the same name. He also has a handful of other projects in the pipeline, including Netflix’sThe School for Good and Evil,Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur,John Wick: Chapter 4, among many others.

Lewis is set to star on Showtime’scomedy seriesI Love That for Youalongside Vanessa Bayer, Molly Shannon, and more. The show is slated to premiere on April 29.Lewis also has a new booktitledWalking in My Joycoming out on Aug. 30.
