Tiffani Thiessen— and her chickens — are getting in the Halloween spirit!
“We take Halloween decorating very seriously in this household. Even the chickens,” she captioned the tutorial.

“The chickens really went to town on that pumpkin 🎃 👻,” one user commented on her post, while another added “They did a great job!”
On Wednesday, Thiessen shared a clip of her appearance onThe Jennifer Hudson Showto her Instagram Story. And the talk show host also wanted to chat to theShriek If You Know What I Did Last Friday the 13thstar about her unconventionalpumpkin carvinghack.
“My chickens love pumpkins,” the star told a seemingly surprised Hudson, 42.
TheDinner at Tiffani’sstar explained that, “most chickens love scraps and leftovers as well.”
“So, generally, I do this thing where I start the carving of the pumpkin and then I let the chickens go at it."

In March, Thiessen spoke exclusively to PEOPLE about her second cookbook,Here We Go Again: Recipes and Inspiration to Level Up Your Leftovers, which is all about not wasting food.
The television star said that the idea for her cookbook came from lessons she learned during her childhood.

“It was leftover taco meat one night made into some sort of taco-mex chili a couple days later,” Thiessen said. “My mom was always doing things like that, and so this book was really something I’ve always wanted to do.”
She added that she “wasn’t raised with a lot of money,” which inspired her to get creative in the kitchen, particularly once she welcomed her own children. The actress now shares daughterHarper, 13, and son Holt, 8 with husbandBrady Smith, 51.
