Lamar Odom‘s heart goes out to his ex-wifeKhloé Kardashianas she copes withTristan Thompson‘s alleged affair withJordyn Woods.
“Lamar has always cared about Khloé, he still has love for her and he hates that she’s been hurt again,” a source tells PEOPLE.
“He has a lot of regret over how he acted in their marriage. And he feels awful that she is going through more pain. He wants to reach out to her and give her his love and support,” the source added.
After a rollercoaster of a relationship — and two divorce filings — Kardashian, 34, and Odom, 39,officially divorcedin 2016. The former couple got married in 2009.
Since their split, Kardashian has remained supportive of the former Los Angeles Lakers player — specifically when Odom suffered a near-fatal overdose in October 2015.

“To tell you the truth, it couldn’t happen to a better person,” Odom toldAccessin February of last year.

Odom expressedsimilar sentimentsafter videos leaked of Thompson getting close to other women just days before Kardashian gave birth to their daughter True in April 2018.
“Lamar feels terrible for Khloe. He wasn’t sure if he should reach out and see how she’s doing. He feels for her,” a source close to Odom told PEOPLE at the time.

On Tuesday,TMZandHollywood Unlockedreported that Kardashian and Thompson split after he was unfaithful with Woods, 21, blindsiding the entire KarJenner family.
“It wasn’t anything they wanted to drop,” the source added. “So several family members reached out to people they believed had been at the party. And they were told it was true.”
Since Thompson and Kardashian’s first scandal broke, theRevenge Bodystar was still trying to make things work with the NBA baller but has been wary.

“The fact that her family is breaking apart is a nightmare for her, but it’s been a long time coming,” the source says. “They’ve been living separate lives. She can’t trust Tristan, and she’s known that for a long time. She’s been focused on her daughter and creating a loving healthy home for her. She doesn’t deserve this and she knows it.”
Since news of the alleged affair broke, Woods has moved out of best friendKylie Jenner‘s home and back in with her mom, a source told PEOPLE.
“Jordyn has been trying to reach out to Khloé and Kylie everyone else in the family to apologize,” a different source told PEOPLE. “She wants to apologize and make everything right.”

The modelmade her first public appearanceon Thursday night during the launch event for her Eylure X Jordyn Wood Lashes in Los Angeles.
“Thank you guys for coming out and supporting me through everything that’s going on,” she said. “It’s been real, and Eylure has been super real with a project I’ve been working on for over nine months right now.”
Woods has yet to specifically address the allegations, but Thompson tweeted, “FAKE News” before deleting his post.
Reps for Kardashian and Thompson did not return PEOPLE’s requests for comment. Woods’ rep had no comment.
