How graphic designers photoshopped images before Photoshop existed

Life was fundamentally impossible without Photoshop . The process and cock it took to get images and character set just the agency you want took an timeless existence . There were no shortcuts ! You need a rapidograph pens , T - squares , golosh cement , exacto knifes and so much more just to do thing Photoshop now does in one or two clicks .

The most insane thing to me was how long it took for character to get thrown into the layout . It take 24 60 minutes and a kinship with a typographer just to get letters . And if you did n’t like the kerning they gave you , you had to cut them up yourself . Good metre !
