HandEra says it ca n’t afford the licensing fees anymore and is going to stop take in PDAs that race on the Palm operating system . They were never a big instrumentalist ( it only had two models , the HandEra 330 and the TRGpro ) , but HandEra was just the 2nd companionship to license the Palm OS . Is this yet another star sign that the Palm osmium is starting to slide ? They have been losing marketshare to Microsoft ’s Pocket microcomputer , that ’s for certain , and having fewer companies make Palm - powered PDA can not be a good thing .
