Back in May of 2006 , Apple filed a letters patent for the “ compactable memory disc adapter , ” an adaptor than can retrofit 8cmoptical mediato child’s play in 12 centimeter drives . The adaptor can be close up during cargo ships , allowing less packaging to be used in shipping Apple software . And those 8 cm disc ? They would bring bully inSamsung ’s 8 cm ride .

But while the approximation may seem clever at first , ca n’t we do easily ?
You may be question at this power point , if we need to save the surround , why not just create a organisation that allows users easier OS downloads or integrated SD store card support ? You may also be question whether or not this small optical media is mayhap in the work for modest Apple hardware ( an ultraportable , perhaps?) … which would probably lead you to wonder about the whole downloads / SD memory affair again . We ’re just generally disordered about the full idea , and hope it ’s one of those justificatory maneuver patents — trade protection of ideas that will never follow to light .
